Michael Textbeak (txtbeak) is the co-owner of Philtre Records with Claus Muzak. He was an original member of the Columbus, Ohio electronic group Body Release (B/Re) in the early 90's with Todd Sines, Charles Noel (Archetype, arch_typ) and Titonton Duvante and has been the primary composer of the experimental electro act Bath since it's conception in 1993. He constantly bridges the space between techno, industrial and electro. Always maneuvering somewhere between experimental and dance, he flips the script on each new release.

He has a number of tracks out under the names 1954, TXT, Bath and Textbeak on Lasergun, Audiotie, Politicide, Philtre, Vaatican, Timetheory, Colin Johnco, Bleak, Jevan, and the 21/22 Corporation with upcoming releases on Tympanik Audio and Swishcotheque.

He has remixed Atomizer, Bioni Samp, Claus Muzak, UV, Unterm Rad and Black Strobe among others and been remixed by Todd Sines, Voctave, Wyrm, Charles Noel (as Archetype and Fuzzy Logic), Dan Lui (Chair Recordings), Adam Boose (Brandtson), Claus Muzak, Agharta, The PQ Sessions, Florian Filsinger, N Space (Ian Mariano), Silicon Shadow, The Tombstone and !naus. He has numerous compilation and magazine appearances and reviews.

He has played (live or DJ) events supporting acts such as Meat Beat Manifesto, Test Department, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Daniel Meyer (Architect, Haujobb), Lycia and David J of Bauhaus and Love and Rockets and (as DJ Gozinya) is the DJ for the internationally renowned annual bondage event The Organ Grinder's Ball now in it's 14th year. He currently spins an eclectic mix thick with electro, Brazilian funk, French rave, bizarre classics, bootlegs and remixes and his own blend of "phuckno".
