Matt Cooke-Davis started an eclectic obsession with sound as a DJ on college radio stations while studying music in the mid 90's. Deep interest in experimental music gave way to involvement in the Baltimore/DC improvisation scene, ending up in Chicago doing live electro-acoustic improv shows and DJ'ing under the name Craque.
Today his diverse turntable sessions are featured at weekly Loungeometry nights in Fullerton, CA, where he now lives. Craque's studio music is a collage of these influences, incorporating minimal dance grooves, avant-garde sound design and structural composition.
